Sewing: Rag Quilt
Rag quilts have a certain rustic charm that I like. The pieces are sewn to expose the raw edges, usually flannel or fleece that won't fray much, and trimmed to make a fringe for each piece.
I had made this small rag quilt for Ana when she was little, then Oggie used it for a while. Now, Enid uses it as a picnic blanket in summer and stays warm in winter.
Soft cotton on one side and flannel on the other, with thin cotton batting makes this one of my favorites.
